I am professional photographer Chris Passinault. I am a Tampa photographer, and I am considered to be one of the best professional photographers in Florida by my clients and by industry professionals.
As a Tampa photographer, I specialize in talent headshot photography and modeling portfolio photography. I am one of the top designers is the Tampa Bay design services industry, too, and am the best modeling composite card and talent headshot designers in Tampa.
I often do Tampa commercial photography, portrait photography, and event photography. I don't have a lot of experience with wedding photography as of July 6, 2008, but this market is one that I am aiming for. Judging from the quality of the work that I have seen in the Tampa wedding photography market, and by observing that most of these Tampa wedding photographers fail miserabley when they attempt talent headshot photography and modeling portfolio photography, it should be interesting. In my opinion, it takes more skill as a professional photographer and requires more talent to photography models, actors, and talent than it does to shoot weddings. A wedding photographer may find it difficult to shoot professional talent, expecially as the clients know what is good and have a qualified eye for professional results, but it is a step down for a modeling and talent photographer to shoot weddings. In fact, when I did shoot weddings, it was not difficult, and my clients raved about the quality. My goal is to become Tampa's best wedding photographer by 2010 (and how many times have I heard from Tampa wedding photographers that they are glad that I didn't compete with them in the Tampa wedding photography market? Too many times, but now their fears are coming true).
I am also considered to be the best Tampa headshot photographer. Tampa headshots have been my best selling services since 2002, and I've done them so much that some professional swimsuit models have asked me if I was mainly a headshot photographer (I answered them with samples of my modeling portfolio photography, which promoted them to book my services, but it says something when my photography portfolio is dominated by talent headshots). As an experienced professional Tampa headshot photographer, I, too, have looked at what other Tampa photographers are trying to pass off as headshots. I am not impressed, and actually am a bit insulted by some of the amateur work that I see in the Tampa headshot photography market. I wish that some of these self-proclaimed, so-called Tampa headshot photographers would take the time to learn what a headshot it and how to shoot them. In fact, shooting professional headshots is not difficult. Tampa photographers who don't bother to learn how to shoot headshots have no excuse, and their lack of attention to detail and the neglect of their photography career speaks volumes about their lack of professionalism. Being a professional photographer is a lot more than making money at photography. You really do need to know what you are doing to properly respect your clients and give them what they deserve.
